There's your answer. Take a look at DB_CONFIG. It's a plain text configuration file.
ctl_cyrusdb[5750]: DBERROR: dbenv->open '/var/lib/imap/db' failed: Invalid argument ctl_cyrusdb[5750]: DBERROR: init /var/lib/imap/db: cyrusdb error
By 'env' it means the DB Environment *NOT* the environment variables/shell variables. Totally separate concepts.
