E-Mail always marked as new

[AVNF]

I've recently upgraded to the latest versions of cyrus imap and sasl. 
Now, whenever users start their various e-mail clients, the messages are 
all marked as new/not read, even though during the last session the mail 
had been marked as read.

I've tried to reconstruct the cyrus files, but it doesn't seem to change 
anything. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
