Hm, okay, 2.0.19. Two questions
1) Does your postfix run chrooted? check /etc/postfix/master.cf to find
out.
I have checked the master.cf.
None of the postfix programs run chrooted.
2) Is your postfix user member of the mail group?
I am afraid not.
Add it, because otherwise most likely postfix can not access the directory
containing the socket. My /etc/group entry looks like this:
mail:x:12:mail,postfix
I have added it now, and try to send a message again.
It could send and received lettter now!
Thanks a lot for your help!
Simon
Would you please explain why I have to run it chrooted?
No, don't run it chrooted. Running postfix chrooted is a source of many
problem. I just meant you should check it.
