Sorry for bothering you again, but how can it be done in newer versions?IMAPWhat version of Cyrus IMAPD are you using?Cyrus version is 1.5.19-9
What does you configuration file (/etc/imapd.conf) look like?

What happens when you save a message to the shared mailbox from an
client? All goes pretty well (the message is saved with no errors), except one
moment: instead of logging in by group, i have to create a user, named
like the mailbox. This is the bother.
What MTA (sendmail, qmail, etc) are you using?Postfix and its Sendmail compatibility interface
No 8*) This was checked at first.Does it have an alias for the shared mailbox that would explain the behavior?
How are you delivering mail to Cyrus? With Postfix, if I'm not mistaken.
How are you addressing the message (i.e. To: [EMAIL PROTECTED])?Yes, exactly this way.
Thanks.
Dmitry Terentyev.
I am not sure how 1.5.19 treated group acls on shared mailboxes, and I can't find any documentation on that version (I deleted it long ago).
the /etc/pam.d/cyrus file is:
auth required pam_smb_auth.so debug auth optional pam_group.so
Thanks. Dmitry Terentyev.
