This message is to announce the release of Cyrus IMSPd 1.6a4 and 1.7a on ftp.andrew.cmu.edu.
with the hint about imclient.c I managed to configure and compile 1.7b under Red Hat AS 2.1. My SASL2 installation (2.1.15) is courtesy of Simon Matter's RPMs. I've read all provided notes, created /var/imsp and have edited the options file as best I could.
However, I can't login:

Reading the archive I found the suggestion to create /usr/lib/sasl2/imspd.conf:
pwcheck_method: auxprop
mech_list: DIGEST-MD5 CRAM-MD5 PLAIN NTLM LOGIN
That works, because GSSAPI is no longer offered, but I still can't login ... (BTW, imsp.sasl.mech_list in /var/imsp/options did *not* seem to work)
Cyrus IMAP is configured with "servername cyrus.rrz.uni-koeln.de", the machine has multiple IP addresses and I thought there might be realm problems, but trying to authenticate using [EMAIL PROTECTED] doesn't work either.
Any hints about what I'm doing wrong?
