I have been told that it is better to use lmtp then deliver because lmtp

deliver invoking lmtp and Exim4 invoking it? Is it because Exim4 can only
hand deliver one addressee at a time?
Another reason, if you use the 2.2.x cyrus, is that it can be hard to get your MTA to call cyrdeliver with the @ in the name still, whereas if you specify lmtp it gives it that way by default.
