I'm currently looking that the master-loses-track-of-processes patch again (which while it isn't linux specific, will fix problems on non-linux systems). This is bug 1261. This hasn't made it in yet mostly because its a complicated issue and even the "working" versions have problems. The Linux retry-the-file-locking-patch is a *serious* performance lose, and indicates a bug is present in the linux kernel (since procesess will go to sleep and never wake up). I don't think we'll be applying this one (Bug 1177, or http://servercc.oakton.edu/~jwade/cyrus/readme.html) -Rob -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Rob Siemborski * Andrew Systems Group * Cyert Hall 207 * 412-268-7456 Research Systems Programmer * /usr/contributed Gatekeeper
