The / is considered an illegal character under auth_unix. I wrote a 
regular expression based auth module which will work with Kerb V. That 
is how we solved the problem..

I tried and gave up, so I'd like to discover the way to do this too... 
It worked under 2.0.x releases of Cyrus IMAPd.
