'Generic Error' when trying to use cyradm

When I try to login with cyradm I get this error.

[root@tatty admin]# cyradm localhost
IMAP Password:
Login failed: generic failure at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi/Cyrus/IMAP/Admin.pm line 114
cyradm: cannot authenticate to server with as admin
[root@tatty admin]#


Also in my Authentication logs I get :

Feb 1 22:40:24 imapd cannot connect to saslauthd server: No such file or directory


Erm, what have I done wrong?
