The Cyrus Murder does not provide the functionality you are looking for
(though the frontends can fail and be brought on-line at will, and the
only people who lose are those who are currently connected to that
frontend).

The Murder is basically a very smart form of IMAP proxy, which allows for
shared mailboxes instead of limiting a user to just their INBOX hierarchy.
