Heheh, indeed at 6am I remebered that I had to give delive SUID rights, which admittedly is not the right[TM] way, but works. At 05:19 +0100 Steve Clement wrote:I remember having this problem before but I can't remember how I fixed it. But I do remember it took days to figure out.So.. it's probably not the upgrade's fault :) Odd.
But off course I got struct immediatly with another weirdness:
[root@somehost root]# cyradm -user 1stadmin localhost
Password: <THERIGHTMAGICWORD>
cyradm: cannot authenticate to server with as steveadmin
Dec 30 16:03:25 somehost imapd[2517]: accepted connection
Dec 30 16:03:25 somehost master[2638]: about to exec /usr/cyrus/bin/imapd
Dec 30 16:03:25 somehost imap[2638]: executed
Dec 30 16:03:26 somehost master[2642]: about to exec /usr/cyrus/bin/lmtpd
Dec 30 16:03:27 somehost imapd[2517]: badlogin: local-somehost[127.0.0.1] OTP [SASL(-13): authentication failure: External SSF not good enough]
although I have 1stadmin in my imapd.conf he wont let me auth to it, now this is new and seems to be because of the upgrade, 1stadmin is listed aswell in:
[root@somehost root]# sasldblistusers2 |grep 1stadmin
1stadmin@somehost: userPassword
1stadmin@somehost: cmusaslsecretOTP
I am not the only one with this problem c.f: http://asg.web.cmu.edu/archive/message.php?mailbox=archive.cyrus-sasl&msg=2752
But no reply to this one, it might've been too trivial :)
Anyways, thank for such a swift answer...
cheers Steve
