I've been talking to Simon somewhat about his API. He doesn't think it would be hard to implement a compatibility layer; I suspect he's a little optimistic but I'm hopeful we'll all come to the same API eventually.

There's actually currently an effort to standardize the API for sasl libraries to something similar to Cyrus SASL. The API is discussed in draft-newman-sasl-c-api-00.txt. Note that the above draft is a *very* rough cut, and is still being brought in line with the current SASLv2 header files. -Rob -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Rob Siemborski * Andrew Systems Group * Cyert Hall 207 * 412-268-7456 Research Systems Programmer * /usr/contributed Gatekeeper
