Since I already have a working "sasldb" and I have performed the db converter by running the db-converter.. I thought the user base has been moved over. And yet, I have tried to recreate the user by running "saslpasswd -d cyrus" and "saslpasswd -c cyrus", try the "imtest" again but still have a prompt of "user not found". >i'd suggest using saslauthd > >and run saslauthd -a shadow/pam/whatever you want as the mech. > >My users can login via PLAIN without a problem, and using CRAM they hit the >/etc/sasldb2 >which they dont mind either. > >Works out dandy Please bear with my ignorant, can you explain a bit more on saslauthd? Also, from where could I specifiy on which method (PLAIN / CRAM) the user is gonna login to the system? Thanks again. Ronnie
