I'm doing the same thing at home and at two ISPs and it works great.

Personally, I have Sieve move any tagged-as-spam-mail into a Spam
folder, I quickly look through it every now and then and zap everything
that looks like junk.  Which 99.99% of the time is all of it.  ...and if
you do get any false positives, you can just add them to SpamAssassin's
whitelist.
