Hello, I have been trying for the past while to successfully use Outlook Express with Cyrus. The main problem I've run into is the message synchronization in Outlook.
No matter whether it's set to synchronize all messages, new messages only, or headers only, Outlook seems to find a new way to screw up. e.g., sync all - no new messages appear sync new messages only - message read state is not saved properly sync headers only - message is marked as read and deleted!? What is going on here... Does anyone have this setup and working properly? >From looking at the archives, there seem to be a lot of problems. I have tried Outlook 5.5, 6, and various releases of Cyrus from 1.6.22 to 2.0.16 and Linux distros Redhat 6.2 and Mandrake 8.1. I have also tried to get the seen state updating properly by trying linux kernel 2.4.18, and changing seen_db.c by commenting out the if() after line 133 - "/* if this is the db we've already opened, return it */" Nothing seems to work...
