Greetings - I am running cyrus-imapd-2.0.9 (I think...I'm just comparing executables from the directories of the individual that set up the server...I just inherited it :) About two to three times a day the POP server stops responding. We run a cron job that tests to make sure the POP server is responding and, when it isn't, restarts cyrus. Most (but not all) of these error messages indicate the ctl_mailbox process is missing (returns no process killed) My intuition was that this was a load based failure (we used to run amavis but it was killing our server scanning all the SPAM) however reducing the server load has made this problem worse instead of better :-/ I am new to cyrus though I have poked around the website and the searched the archives a bit, but I haven't seen a description of a problem similar to mine. If anyone has any pointers on how to locate the issue the server is having I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time.
