Hello,

I must admit that some email clients make it look like one should be
able to create a folder at the same level as the users INBOX. This can
never be allowed however. A client/user would essentially have the
priveledge of creating accounts if they could do this. Not to mention
the problems with different users wanting to create the same named
folders.
Much like the filesystem has a root, a users folder space on the IMAP
server has a root, which is his or her INBOX. They may only do things
(shared folders and permissions aside) within the folder hierarchy
starting
with their INBOX.
