Since only one person is experiencing the problem, I don't believe this is the case. A lack of inodes should stop everyone's mail. However, I will check it out. --On Sunday, January 20, 2002 07:20:28 PM +0000 simon <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > If you use deliver it uses /tmp breifly to store the email do you > have enough space there ???? The /tmp directory is on the same partition, so there should be plenty of room. I believe that I've determined the real problem. The particular individual appears to have altered the ACLs on his INBOX to remove the privilege for "anyone" to post to it. Perhaps I am incorrect, but it looks as though this is the problem. It's curious that this would result in a "No space left on device" error message. Does this make sense? Since reconstruct gave the same error message, we may yet have another problem. I wouldn't think that reconstruct would care about ACLs. :-\ Anyway, my test message to the user was delivered after restoring posting privileges for anyone. Likewise, all of the "stat=Deferred" messages in the mail log seem to have stopped. Fred Bacon Aerodyne Research, Inc.
