Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion.  Since only one person is experiencing the 
problem, I don't believe this is the case.  A lack of inodes should stop 
everyone's mail.  However, I will check it out.

The /tmp directory is on the same partition, so there should be plenty of 
room.


I believe that I've determined the real problem.  The particular individual 
appears to have altered the ACLs on his INBOX to remove the privilege for 
"anyone" to post to it.  Perhaps I am incorrect, but it looks as though 
this is the problem.  It's curious that this would result in a "No space 
left on device" error message.  Does this make sense?  Since reconstruct 
gave the same error message, we may yet have another problem.  I wouldn't 
think that reconstruct would care about ACLs. :-\

Anyway, my test message to the user was delivered after restoring posting 
privileges for anyone.  Likewise, all of the "stat=Deferred" messages in 
the mail log seem to have stopped.
