Changing the vacation text will always trigger a new reply. Changing
the :days or turning vacation off/on with the same text will have no
effect on those senders who have already received a reply.

Here's the complete behavior of vacation in 50 words or less (hopefully
I get it correct):

The vacation reply gets sent out once per sender, per vacation text.
All further replies to the given sender/vacation text pair will be
suppressed for :days days from the time that the first message from this
sender was received while the vacation rule was active.

Example:

Lets say that on 1/1/02 12PM, I do 'vacation :days 5 "foo";'.

- A message arrives for me from "bob" on 1/2/02 9AM, which generates a
"foo" reply for "bob". Now "bob" will not be eligible to receive
another "foo" reply until 1/7/02 9AM.

- If I don't turn my 'vacation :days 5 "foo;' rule off until 1/10/02
12PM, any message from "bob" between 1/7/02 9AM and 1/10/02 12PM will
generate another "foo" reply.

- If on 1/3/02, I change my vacation rule to 'vacation' :days 3 "foo";',
"bob" still won't be eligible for a "foo" reply until 1/7/02 9AM. Any
new senders will receive the "foo" response and only be ineligible for 3
days.

- If on 1/3/02, I change the vacation rule to 'vacation :days 5 "bar"',
"bob" will receive a "bar" reply to his next message to me (as along as
the vacation rule is still active).

- If on 1/3/02, I change the vacation rule to 'vacation :days 10
"foo";', and "bob" sends me another message on 1/7/02 12PM, he will
receive another "foo" reply. Now "bob" will not be eligible to receive
another "foo" reply until 1/17/02 12PM.

I think I covered all of the bases here. Hope this helps somebody.
