The master process needs to be running at all times to answer imapd,
pop3d, and lmtpd requests. The best way for you to take care of this
would be to put these lines at the end of /etc/rc.local:
echo "Starting cyrus server..."
/usr/cyrus/bin/master &
This should take care of things for you.
