Hi, it seems to me, that you've got a berkeley db compatibility problem - It 
seems to me, that the berkeley database is not up to date. recompile the  db 
and then compile the SASL library, afterwards do the compile of the imap 
server. I had similar problems until I recompiled whole the thing without bells 
and whistles ;-)
