Hey all. Definitely making steady progress here. As long as you
accept progress as a change in error messages. :)
I now have sendmail calling deliver and dropping mail into my Inbox.
However, when I ask for a message to be delivered to a specific
folder, say temp, using [EMAIL PROTECTED], I get the
following set of errors (sorry for the long lines!):
in maillog:
Jul 4 22:17:14 acadia sendmail[2373]: f652HEs02373: from=leblanc, size=541, class=0,
nrcpts=1, msgid=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, bodytype=8BITMIME,
relay=leblanc@localhost
Jul 4 22:17:15 acadia sendmail[2375]: f652HEs02373:
[EMAIL PROTECTED], ctladdr=leblanc (500/100), delay=00:00:01,
xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=cyrus, pri=30541, relay=temp, dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: cyrus
mailer (/usr/local/cyrus/bin/deliver) exited with EX_TEMPFAIL
and in error.log:
Jul 4 22:17:15 acadia deliver[2376]: connect(/home/mail/socket/lmtp) failed:
Permission denied
However,
# ls -l /home/mail/socket
total 0
srwxrwxrwx 1 root mail 0 Jul 4 20:20 lmtp
Seems that should be enough permission for anyone, so what gives?
I still think lmtp is a pain in my ass. :|
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Lou
