Hey guys,

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate list for this or not. The SASL one
seems to not be very lively, so I don't know if it's gone defunct or what
have you. So, if it is the wrong place, I apologize for the spam.

The problem is just what I said. Actually, I'm running into this with
postfix. I'd imagine if it fails with postfix, that it's going to fail with
cyrus imap as well, unfortunately. I compiled postfix with sasl support. I
set up a /usr/lib/sasl/smtpd.conf file and set pwcheck_method: pam (and I
tried PAM). But postfix always tries to access /etc/sasldb. lsof shows
    that smtpd.conf never gets opened.

I would imagine this is an sasl issue, but maybe I'm wrong. Anyone else
experience this? And more importantly, anyone know how to fix this? :-/

Thanks (and, btw, I did compile SASL with PAM support, and I did try
    /usr/local/lib/sasl/smtpd.conf).
