I had the same problem, and I had a problem with the sasldb. After going through the
archive for the sasldb problem, it said that I had to use the sasldbpasswd program to
enter a user into the sasldb database (/etc/sasldb). On doing so, I noticed that I no
longer needed to enter the password twice (I added the password for the user cyrus,
which is the user I am when running cyradm).

On another note, I do not want to use CRAM-MD5 or the other secure auth mechanisms
yet, only PLAIN, and do not want these features being listed as a COMPATABILITY. I
have achieved this by removing the /etc/sasldb file, and of course now get error:

unable to open Berkeley db /etc/sasldb: No such file or directory

I have re-compiled SASL without these auth features, but they are still listed. How
can I remove them from the COMPATABILITY list.

Thanks in advance, Stuart.
