Hi,

I would like to pick up the question from Justin and the answer from Larry
read in the archive and ask, if global seen state will be implemented in the
future.

Thanks

Mathias

The Cyrus server, as implemented, doesn't allow for global seen
state. (The protocol allows it, but not the implementation.)

I'm trying to implement some shared folders on my cyrus-1.6.24 server.
I've created for example user.support, and added 'lr' as the ACL for a
couple of users (as seen in some documentation). They can both open the
folder, and read the mail, but the messages remain unseen. So, I tried
adding 's' to the ACL. Now, the messages get seen, but that state
doesn't exist globally, ie. a message marked as seen by justin, doesn't
appear seen by jlp. What I'm trying to do is have the seen state exist
globally across users. I get the impression from what I've read that
this is possible, but I seem to be doing it incorrectly.

   Any help would be appreciated,

   Justin.
