Hi there, I have recently installed and configured cyrus-imapd-1.6.24 to run on a HP 9000 (HP-UX 10.20) All is working well and I'd now like to enhance the setup through the implimentation of sieve filters to kurb e-mail abuse. I'm having problems with sieve authntication when I try to list or add filters. Here is the contents of my imap.conf file: configdirectory: /disk2/imap partition-default: /disk2/imap/spool admins: marco hennie sarel srvtab: /var/imap/srvtab umask: 077 quotawarn: 90 timeout: 60 sasl_pwcheck_method: passwd sieveusehomedir: false sievedir: /usr/sieve Here is the command I use to try and add a filter: installsieve -i filter -m plain -u hennie localhost I get prompted for a password and then type in my UNIX password: Here is the error: Please enter your password: Authentication failed with: "generic failure" Authentication failed. When I set the "-m" option to "passwd" instead of "plain" I get the following error without being prompted for a password: Authentication failed. What am I doing wrong ? What haven't I configured ?
