Go to Edit | Preferences | Mail & News Group | Copies & Folders
To change default "Sent mails" folder

Section 1: When sending a mail message, automatically
The first option that is checked by default says
Place a copy in folder: 'Sent' on 'Local Mail'.
Next to it is a button that says "Choose Folder"
Clicking on that opens a new pop-up option box
There you can choose either "Sent" on "Select your imap mail server from
the drop-down list"
or
choose Other: and select a server / folder from the drop-down list.
To change default "Drafts/Templates" folder
--------------------------------------
On the same preferences window there is option to change
Drafts and Templates folder.
Follow the above procedere to set them to an IMAP server instead of
local folders
