Dear All,

We plan to switch over from UW-IMAP(imap-2000a) to Cyrus-IMAP(Cyrus
1.6.24). After having installed the same, we observe the following:

1. "imtest"(Cyrus-IMAP context) does not respond, whereas "mtest"(UW-IMAP
    context) responds.

2. Mails can not be delivered to "user.userid", but can be sent to any
user (local & otherwise) using Cyrus-IMAP. Mails sent get saved in the
"sent-mail" folder. However, with UW-IMAP, mails can be both sent and
recieved. Using "cyradm", mailboxes can be created and set permissions
   (including -p option).

3. The dir /etc/sasldb remains empty.

4. The tools/mkimap has not been able to create the desired directories
as given in the /etc/imapd.conf. We are not clear about the directory
structure (with right permissions) that can be created manually.

Can someone help us? Thanks in advance.

Configuration:

  -AIX 4.3.2
  -cyrus-imapd-1.6.24
  -Berkeley-db-3.1.17
  -cyrus-sasl-1.5.24
  -postfix
