Hi!

I'm trying to get Cyrus and Postfix to work. I'm using

Mandrake 7.2 with a custom 2.4.1 kernel

Server is a MPS 1.1. Dual Pentium 133 w. 128M and 3 4GB SCSI HD on a
buslogic BT-946 card. 3Com90x S3VirgePCI

ReiserFS on all partitions including / and /var.

Postfix Beta 19991231 Patchlevel 8 - which came with 7.2

BerkeleyDB.3.2 - I compiled sucessfully from source from sleepycat

cyrus-sasl-1.5.24 - I compiled sucessfully from source from
asg.cmu.edu

cyrus-imapd-2.0.12 - I compiled sucessfully from source from
asg.cmu.edu

I think I've gotten everything configured okay, but I keep getting:

    C: CO1 CAPABILITY
    failure: prot layer failure

Whenever I do the imtest. I also know Postfix can't deliver due to
some lmtp failer - can't connect.

I'm trying to figure out what's wrong. I've already done all the
logical simple stuff - check security on etc/sasldb, etc/shadow; make
sure that sasldb is good and working;checked security of cyrus user.

I also did an strace on imtest and discoved that my connection is
reset by peer just after I connect. It seems I'm not even getting a
chance to login.

I'm hoping someone has this config working and could share some brain
power with me on this. I have logs and traces that I can pass on if
need be. Please let me know.

My ultimate plan is to let a bunch of users use Outlook and Outlook
Express and Netscape to connect via IMAP to get their mail. Later, I
want to do this over the SSL port. After that, I want to get IMP
working on it to give it a mail interface.

Thanks in advance!
Francis
