Hi Greg,

Wow, that was straight to the point! :) I wholeheartedly agree though.

I've found Cyrus to be the most flexible, reliable mail system available to
date, and once it's set up it never has needed fixing or tweaking. The
problem is that the set up process is *extremely* painful - so much so that
I've held off from upgrading one of my FreeBSD servers to the latest version
of the OS because I know I'm going to have to go through the Cyrus process
again. Every time I've installed Cyrus on any OS - be it FreeBSD, Linux or
Solaris - there have always been issues with it.

I think it would be an excellent idea for the developers to concentrate on
updating the documentation for the next incremental release, and/or provide
a better installation method (some sort of setup script for example), rather
than adding features. Last I looked (admittedly I'm still using 2.0.7) much
of the documentation was still tied to the 1.5.x series and was actually
incorrect for the version I had.

Anyways, just my 2c worth. Again as I have said before, the product is a
dream to use, but the installation procedure is enough to put many would be
users off from running it.

Cheerio,
D.
