If this happens often to a particular user, turn on telemetry logging.
(Create the directory /var/imap/log/<username> and make sure it is
writable by the cyrus user.) When the problem shows up, send me the
log files.
Note that logging can be very voluminous, so you don't want to leave
it on a long time for a large number of users.

Hello Everyone,
I really feel bad dragging this problem out again, but it is still
happeneing. I am getting reports from several of my employees (myself
included) about messages randomly being marked as unread in their
mailboxes. In discussions on this list people seem to blame MS Outlook
Express, but I am afraid I have to refute that. Below is a list of
email clients I have personally witnessed exhibiting this problem:
- Outlook Express 5.0 and 5.5 on Windows 2000
- Netscape Messenger 4.76 on Windows
- Netscape Messenger 4.75 and 4.76 on Linux
- Outlook Express on Macintosh
- Microsoft Entourage on Macintosh
The upgrade from 2.0.9 to 2.0.11 did not seem to make any difference
(although I like the other new things in it :)
Can anyone on the development teem give me some pointers on what to start
looking for? I am perfectly happy to debug this if I know what to look
for. Thanks for your help.
-Jeremy
