Hey all,

So I am trying to install 2.0.7 using sasldb
on a Debian 2.2r1 machine and have been unable
to get it to work right.

Everything compiles and installs just fine,
but I can't get the system to do anything
useful for me yet. I am pretty sure the
problem is because I can't seem to authenticate
anyone despite the fact /etc/sasldb is owned
by the cyrus user and saslpasswd happily sets
secrets for users in CRAM-MD5, DIGEST-MD5,
and PLAIN.

I'm getting signaled to death by 11 if anyone
tries to "LOGIN" to imapd,

SASL is reporting "no mechanisms available",

I'm getting "unable to open Berkeley db
/etc/sasldb: Invalid argument" in my auth.log
right before CRAM-MD5 and DIGEST-MD5 complain
about "incompatible version (-1). My version (3)",

and the docs aren't helping much at this point.

Any ideas? I'm stumped.
