Thank you, Scot, for your reply. Since the list saw the entire procedure,
there's
no reason for me to send it again. As it turns out here, there was too
little mail to
bother with and, since, the original site was configured to use /etc/passwd
for userid's,
simple cut-and-paste from passwd and shadow was all I needed to move the
users.
