Take a look at the available "cvs edit -c" and "cvs edit -f" patches on
SourceForge (under the RCVS project).

Also, you should be able to get fine-grained ACLs (ie permissioning by user and
action) by using commitinfo.

Subject:  Reserved checkout

Hi,

I want to use CVS in a reserved checkout model with centralised access
to repository. It's to say :
- reserved checkout : developpers need to lock files before act ;
- centralised access : developpers only have read acces to repository.
They need to send their modified files to a configuration manager
(human) which is able to commit works.

It's a non natural model for CVS, but it's a model I need to use.

My questions are :
- Does someone use a same model with CVS, and how ?
- Is there a configuration tool which have a such model ?
- Url for more information ???

Best regards,
