I am having the oddest problem. I'm not even sure how to describe it
accurately, but I will attempt it.

I have a client who has an AOL address. Yesterday, one of my users was
trying to receive an email from this client. She had been able to receive
emails from him prior to this one yesterday, but couldn't receive this
particular email.

I checked the imail logs, Imail seemed to have been blocking/rejecting it as
soon as it hit the server. The D and Q files were never created, this is all
the log showed:

09:02 15:07 SMTPD(8f0e07a50000671f) [205.188.144.207] MAIL FROM:
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
09:02 15:07 SMTPD(8f0e07a50000671f) [205.188.144.207] RCPT TO:
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Here it is, being sent to me:

09:02 16:39 SMTPD(a468078500006b93) [64.12.143.99] MAIL FROM:
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
09:02 16:39 SMTPD(a468078500006b93) [64.12.143.99] RCPT TO:
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

That's it. No other log entries, nothing. The other emails that the client
sent went thru fine, ie:

09:02 14:46 SMTPD(89e807620000663f) [64.12.137.6] MAIL FROM:
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

So, it seemed to be only that one message, having issues. I checked the
imail rules and deleted all the rules since I don't even use that. I
whitelisted the aol address within Imail itself.

I had him resend the message, still getting the same thing, Imail doesn't
even generate the q and d files or send it to the spool.

I had him resend the message USING A DIFFERENT account, and it came thru
fine.

We are able to send to his aol account with no issues.

What in the world would cause one specific message sent via one specific
account to be tossed by Imail?????

Thanks in advance,
Sharyn
