FINAL RESULTS
REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
Saturday: Sailors arrived to warm temps and a light, shifty
southeasterly
breeze. After the first A set, the wind promptly died. The sea breeze
filled in around 1 PM, which provided beautiful conditions for the rest
of the day. Courses were W/L twice around. 8A and 6B races were
completed.
No protests were filed and the only thing we broke was a megaphone.
Sunday: Racing resumed on an unusually steady south/southeasterly
breeze.
All races through Race 12A were completed. While B division was rotating
in to sail its last set, the southeasterly died and a hint of a sea
breeze
began to tease us. After about a half hour, the sea breeze filled and
the
last B set was able to be sailed. Courses were windward/leewards. No
protests or breakdowns were filed.
Special thanks to Morgan Lee for on the water help, to judges Mike
Dawson and Judy Hanlon, and to EC-SAR for their help ferrying sailors.
Congrats to Salve Regina for winning the Eckerd Intersectional for
the third year in a row.
