My bad! That command is for icinga2. I have never used icinga 1.
Just use the following command to smoke out the culprit (oldcontact).
find / -type f -exec grep -Hn oldcontact "{}" ";"
You can send result to a text file or grep it.

HI Team,
we have few hosts in some locations and whenever hosts are down notifications
are sending wrong contacts and later sent to correct contacts
We have added new contacts and removed the old one but still first sent to old
contacts whenever host down. .
i have checked the contact file and template file and i didn't give the old
contacts information
