Here is the location of Hugin's preferences file on Mac OS X: In Finder press shift+cmd+G (the "go to folder..." command from the "Go to..." menu). In the dialog type
~/Library/Preferences/ and press the "open" button. In this folder you will find a file named "hugin Preferences". That's a file without an extension but it's a plain text file that you can view with e.g. BBEdit available from barebones.com (TextWrangler was the free version but in future BBEdit will be available with a standard feature set without a fee).
