Try 2 variations:
pto_var -o panorama_9_ptovar.pto --opt
v,a,b,c,d,e,g,t,EeV,Er,Eb,Vb,Vc,Vd,Vx,Vy panorama_8_panomodify.pto
pto_var -o panorama_9_ptovar.pto --opt
v,a,b,c,d,e,g,t,EeV1,EeV2,EeV3,Er,Eb,Vb,Vc,Vd,Vx,Vy panorama_8_panomodify.pto
In both cases I don't get EeV variables to be optimized:
