Dear guys,
I know it's a shame submitting a topic as this on
the htdig mailing list...
But, as someone knows down here, I'm working on a
mining project for intranets and little nets (I hope once tested on these to
launch it as a service on the net), have to say, different from
htdig...
The reason because I' m writing you is to ask
about a possible transposition of a Unix-like OSs project into a Windows based
one...
Has I have chance to see, htdig uses external
libraries, not talking about the object oriented of the C++
language.
How could you solve a "problem" like this? I assume
it's not only a cut 'n' paste procedure, but I have to say I *never* worked on
Visual C++ or others Windows based builder or compiler.
I' ve also had chance to see someone compiled
binaries for Windows, but they' re not a good choice for my program: infact it
is very configurable and this is not can be done only running a Cygwin... but I
need to provide a user interface to Windows too...
Why this? Simply because my father' s building an
intranet with about ten clients on his office and I would like to provide him a
good intranet-search program to make the work better and to taste my work... :)
Why not on Linux OS? Because in dad' s office *nobody* never seen or knows what
a Linux is... :(
So please help me on this, even if Windows is a
shame for informatics... because of my father ignorance... :)))
Ciao
