Well, Hans-Peter's patch does seem to have a bigger impact, plus it's
tied to an earlier patch, so it might be a big job to port both of them
to 3.2. He seemed to express some concerns himself about including this
in 3.2 right away. But hey, it's still a democracy, so if people want
to vote this one in too, that's their prerogative.
