Well I've been working on the documentation. There's still a bunch
todo, but I'm going to finish up for the night. If everyone would
take a look at tonight's snapshot, I'd appreciate it--I'm looking for
showstoppers mostly, but please go through the STATUS report. If
there's anything on there already resolved or that can be resolved
quickly, let me know.
Also, please look through the htdoc/RELEASE.html file. Is there any
big news that I've left out? Are there better ways of writing these?
Essentially, I hope someone will take an opportunity to give a quick
look at the docs and see if I've overlooked anything.
In checking the documentation, I realized formost that I still
haven't written the documentation for external_protocols. Whoops!
But there are a few more puzzles/bugs that showed up:
author_factor: Used in htsearch, but not documented or used in htdig
caps_factor: Used in the code, but not documented
image_alt_factor: Documented, but not in the code!
metaphone_db: Currently not used by htfuzzy!
soundx_db: Currently not used by htfuzzy!
mime_types: Used by the new HtFile class--no default or
install-file
wordlist_extend: Used but not documented
wordlist_verbose: Used but not documented
wordlist_monitor_input: Used but not documented
I'm going to take out the documentation for image_alt_factor for now,
and I don't care so much about the first two since they don't have
much effect yet. The htfuzzy ones are an obvious problem, but this
should be easy to solve.
I think we should have a default mime.types file to install--I'm
assuming there are a few that are GPL-ed?
The last three, I assume, are from Loic and Marcel. I don't think
they need to be documented, but I thought I should throw the flag.
