Hi, I have been looking trough the FAQ but does not see the answer to this.
I was wondering if it would be possible for me to use htdig to crawl *files* which can be seen via a URL (but should not be read via the url) and return results "filtered" by some per user settings? The reason I ask is that I have access to some text files which I can allow the crawler to index and which a cgi script can display to users with the right permissions. I would like to use the searching functionallity of htdig to index these, but I would like if I could filter the results found by htdig so that each user will only see links to the files which they actually may see. So I guess this was two questions in one: 1. Can I index files and return a url for their location 2. Can I restrict the results show to a user based on his/her permissions?
