Yeah I tried each config on it's own and they worked fine.
Maybe I setup the "include: htdig.conf" incorrectly in the config files??
As stated above, the fact that each config file works on its own implies that the current problem is due to htsearch, not the config files. Either you are somehow calling an unpatched version of htsearch or for some reason the patch didn't take.
