It obviously hits a really bad combination with my particular hardware as it 
slows down about 30-40 
times! Interesting about the USB2.0 specific though as I forced it down to 
USB1.1 using a 1.1 only 
hub and the problem still persisted.

Can confirm that takes the print time down from ~30 mins to ~1 min. :) YAY!

I should have asked this last year and saved myself many hours of waiting!
