The preloaded version of HPLIP in Ubuntu does not have 1.7.3 unfortunately.
You could use a start or end banner page as a separator. In the toolbox,
goto the Print Settings tab and select a banner page. Or, you can pass
banner page options on the command like. Check the manual at cups.org for
more info (try: lpr --job-sheets=standard,none <file to print>)

I really need to be able to print a separator page here at work. I've
looked through the Advanced tab in the Properties dialog, but nothing
is jumping out at me as to how to configure the separator page.
Is this possible?
Thanks,
Jamie

I'd run hp-check, but I don't seem to have it.
