Thanks. > What printer do you do this with and what is the key combination that > you use? I have a HP 920C and use this combination: 1st switch on the device then press the power on key and keep it pressed, then press one time the abort key and then one time the page feed key and now release the power button and the printer starts to print the information site. There are some more key, I can give you them, it is always the same, switch on the printer then press and keep pressed the power on button and then the appropriate key combination, after that release the power button and the printer starts to print the information, the device does not have to be connected with the computer. Here the possible combinations (PF: page feed button, X: the abort button): 4 * PF = serial number and total page count 8 * PF = simple test just printing the letter H in an endless loop 1 * PF and 1 * X = serial number, total page count and calibration data of the cartridges 2 * X = cartridge cleaning mechanism 2 * X and 1 * PF = extended carthridge cleaning 2 * X and 2 * PF = intensive cartridge cleaning (I don“t know the difference to the above) 4 * X and 1 * PF data of cartridges and level of ink 8 * X and 4 * PF test of the cartridges nozzles The only thing I used is the 3rd test of the list above, I found this at a german speaking printer forum and it was said these combinations should work with any HP inkjet printer, at least I can confirm this for my 920C, I have no clue if this applies to the newer HP printers as well.
