Yes, this is a known issue. Probably the easiest workaround is to
pre-install lsb before HPLIP:
$ sudo apt-get install lsb
and then re-run the installer.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

I've tried installing 1.7.4 (and also 1.7.4a when the first didn't work)

I'm running Ubuntu 7.04, and I have an HP PSC 1410v.
Sorry if this is already a known issue. Has anyone run it on this new
version of Ubuntu and not had the installer freeze like that?
Thanks.
