Hello, I have successfully completed Steps 1 through 10 of the HPLIP installer. However in Step 11 I get: 'Session management error: Authentication Rejected, reason: None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and the host-based authentication failed-error:Unable to connect to hpiod-error:unable to connect to HPLIP I/O-Please restart hplip and start again'.
When I command # /etc/init.d/hplip restart I get: Stopping hpiod OK-Stopping hpssd FAILED-Starting hpiod OK-Starting hpssd OK. When I command # hp-check I get among other messages: HPLIP running? No, HPLIP is not running(OK). My distro is Fedora Core 5. How can I procede? Thanks.
