Hello, I've successfully completed Steps 1 through 10 of the HPLIP
installer. However in Step 11, after I enter my password, I get the
following messages:
Session management error: Authentication Rejected, reason: None of the
auythorization protocols specified are supported and host-based
authentication failed
error: Unable to connect to hpiod
error: " " " " HPLIP I/O Please restart HPLIP and try
again
Commanded /etc/init.d/hplip restart
rm cannot remove /var/run/hpiod.pid Permission denied [FAILED]
" " " " " hpssd.pid " " "
" " " " /lock/subsys/hpssd " "
Starting hpiod
touch: cannot touch /var/subsys/hpiod " "
Starting hpssd
can't open pidfile /var/run/hpssd.pid (13) " " "
touch: cannot touch /var/lock/subsys/hplip " "
Commanded # /etc/init.d/hplip restart
Stopping hpiod OK
" hpssd FAILED
Starting hpiod OK
" hpssd OK
